Comedy, Critics & Courage: I Just Did Stand-Up—and Got Booked for Brighton Fringe

You know those moments when you say “screw it” and finally do the wild thing your soul’s been whispering about?

Well… I DID IT.

Last weekend, I stepped onto a stage and performed stand-up comedy for the very first time—and it went down an absolute storm. People laughed, cheered, and saw themselves in every single character I introduced from my Cast of Bitches—the inner critics we all know (and wish we didn’t).

There was:

  • The Anxious Bitch – catastrophising like it’s an Olympic sport.

  • The Hunger Bitch – completely unhinged if she’s 3 minutes past lunch.

  • The Woe-is-Me Bitch – throwing a tantrum because life’s just not faaaair.

But here’s the kicker—this wasn’t just about getting laughs. It was about helping people see the voices in their heads… and laugh at them instead of letting them run the show.

The feedback was insane:

“OMG I’m literally ALL of those bitches!”
“So funny—and somehow deeply therapeutic?!”
“You need to be on stage now.”

And plot twist? I got offered a spot at Brighton Fringe 2025 on the spot (!!)

If I hadn’t missed the official print deadline, I’d be doing a full one-woman show this year. But hey—maybe the universe wants it to be even bigger.
So I’m making a public PLEDGE:
This time next year, I’ll be promoting my one-woman show — EMBODIED AF.

Because this is what I do. I help women see the mental stories that have been hijacking their joy. I teach them how to take their power back—with humour, honesty, and a little magic.

If you’re looking for a female life coach in Brighton who blends fierce mindset tools, raw realness, and a no-BS approach to personal growth—hi, I’m Jess.
I’m not your average coach. I help women with busy brains and big imaginations rewrite the narrative and reclaim their fire.

Whether it’s through 1:1 coaching, EFT tapping, or full-on feminist comedy, I’m here for the rebels, the overthinkers, the recovering perfectionists, and the wild-hearted souls ready to come home to themselves.

Watch this space, bitches.
The show is coming—and so is the revolution.
